Principal's Greetings

Hello Normont Community,

I want to warmly welcome you to the 2023-24 school year. As I am embarking on my third year here at Normont Elementary, I am extremely invested in our school and community and excited to see our growth. I am amazed and proud of the students, parents, teachers, staff members, and community for demonstrating how our school is resilient, dedicated, and filled with with so many talented people. I look forward to collaborating with all stakeholders and embracing the vision of an energized learning community that prepares all students to become successful lifelong learners in our competitive world. I am positive that this school year, with everyone’s support  we will continue to improve and have a successful year! This school  year we will continue to implement strategies to increase students’ motivation, grow their academic self-efficacy, and build their confidence in taking responsibility for their own learning. I have set my priorities as follows:

• Safety, Security & attendance 
• Social Emotional Learning-focus on KINDNESS 
• Acceleration of Learning for all Students in ELA & Math 
• Intervention  for students in need of  support in ELA and/or Math 
• Enrichment: music, dance, art, theater, technology

We will continue to provide resources to enrich students’ education with intervention and enrichment such as continuing our Saturday Enrichment classes and our after school intervention programs.

I am extremely excited to collaborate and work towards making this year an amazing year. I look forward to a successful and positively energized school year. I thank you all for your support and understanding, for together we will continue to navigate and build towards our educational goals.  My door is always open, ongoing communication is essential.
