Welcome to Normont Elementary School Official Website

At Normont Elementary we believe that every student, parent, staff, teacher and administrator counts. We are not a school in the community, we are a school of the community and are honored to serve the Harbor City area. The 2016-2017 school year is one full of promise and opportunity and we look forward to new partnerships, community relationships and joint achievements that will make the Normont Lions soar.

Common Core State Standards Roadmap

The CCSS booklet called “Parent Roadmaps” are available for you to print. Each subject and grade specific guide provides ways parents can support student achievement. They also provide a three year overview of how standards progress.

Volunteers Needed

If you are interested in volunteering, please see Pat Valera, our Community Representative,  in the main office.

Volunteers are needed for:

  • Drop and Go Valet Program
  • Breakfast in the Classroom

If you can give 30 minutes one or two days a week from 7:45-8:15 we could really use your help.

Remember you must complete an application in the main office and have a current TB test. All volunteers must have a current Volunteer Application on file in the office along with proof of a current TB test (within 6 months of volunteering).  The TB test is good for 4 years.   Any volunteer who works more than 16 hours a week must have a Live Scan completed through LAUSD.
